Classes

Classes are arranged in six week sessions, one class per week. It is recommended that you take at least two sessions to feel confident and comfortable with the movement– although you can continue on as long as you like!

Each class is over an hour and 25 minutes, incorporating progressions of:

Mat Exercises: This repertoire of exercises will beautifully work the derriere, abdominals, legs and arms to strengthen, stretch and revive you.

Hip-talk: You will learn to unlock your hips and let them move how they were intended– mesmerizing and powerful.

Sensual Moves:
The movements that only we as women are blessed with! Learn the enjoyment in the simplest movements and gestures. Learn the “g” walk, barrel circles, hip rock and more!  You will also learn playful choreography on the wall and chair.

Your “g” routine:
This is YOUR beautiful, sensual dance of movements you’ve learned combined into a flow of grace, power, and beauty. This is for YOU first… .it’s your special secret.


Class Descriptions:

Try-It-Out Teaser Class
Need just a taste to see what THE GODDESS MOVEMENT is all about? Our Teaser Class is just for you!  This one-time class is an hour in length and you will be introduced to:
Our warm up
- A short toning session for the abs and glutes
- A piece of wall choreography you can take home if you wish
- And of course the child in you will get to whirl on the pole!

Levels 1-5 and Graduates

  1. Learn your basics, foundations to build on. Great abdominal and glute workout as well  as your introduction to the pole! No previous dance or exercise experience required!

  2. You continue to add on to your basics with new floor moves, and a chair routine. Your pole work begins to take shape with new spins.

  3. While learning new skills, your focus is now geared toward freeing yourself from your mind– learning to feel the music and your movement. You add on to the chair routine in level 2. The workouts get a bit more challenging and you really start to fly on the pole and learn your preps for inversions (upside down)!
     

  1. Your “g” movements are becoming your own and your inner goddess is having fun at play! You learn more challenging floor work and begin to string your choreography together. You are now in full inversions and are practicing fantastic spins and strength moves on the pole. Your focus here is on your own creative movement using the basics from all levels as well as your own improvisation. You continue honing your pole skills and begin to add tricks to your inversions.
     

  2. You have created a full playground for your inner goddess.  Your focus here is on your own creative movement using the basics from all levels as well as your own improvisation.  You continue honing your pole skills and begin to add tricks to your inversions.
     

Graduates. This is your time to be free and play. Each week has a different focus giving you an opportunity to practice various skills and themes. You continue to learn new poles moves as your strength improves and there is always new “routines” taught for you use and play with.

 

An Introduction to Basic Belly Dance
“Imagine this: There was a time in history, a long time ago, when the bounce and sway of a woman’s hips was considered so beautiful that they set it to music and made a dance out of it…" The ancient art of Belly Dancing is an accepting environment that celebrates femininity in all of its shapes and sizes, focusing on radiating the beauty from within.  This workshop introduces some basic belly dance moves that will get your hips swaying and shimmying, your chest popping and shoulders undulating in combination with lots of laughter and play!  In the end, we’ll put all the moves together into a simple, fun choreography and just dance! Belly Dancing is a great way to get fit, relax, play and connect with your sensuality.  Two to choose from Tuesday, Sept. 30 at 6:30m or Tuesday Oct. 14 at 6:30pm, both at the Chilliwack studio.  $20 each, please call or email to pre-register.

Pink-Advanced Pole Play
This is the prime class to jump your pole skills to the next level.  We will be working on advanced inversions, strength holds, and trick combinations.  You will also put together a short pole routine that is all your own!  There is a 5 person maximum limit to this class to ensure everyone gets enough pole time to feel comfortable with these advanced moves.  Prerequisite is registration in Level 4 with a proficient inversion or current registration in Level 5 with a proficient inversion.  A 4 week class is $100.00. 
 

Goddess Workout Drop-In
This is a class sure to tone you up and trim you down.  We use many of the Goddess moves in combination with Pilates principle for one powerhouse of a workout.  And the best part?  You are having so much fun you forget that you are sweating and your muscles are on fire!  There is only one prerequisite- that you have attending a Teaser Class or are registered in Level 1 or beyond.
 There is a limit to 12 per class and there is a pre-booking reservation list so be sure to get your spot. $12.00 per class, punch cards available.

Pilates Ab Booster
Stott certified Pilates instructor, Wendy will bring to you all the amazing Pilates principle that lean, tone, and flatten!  In this 4 week class you will learn more tools and exercises to compliment the work in our Goddess classes (Goddess experience not required).  You can use this with your Goddess class or all on it's own to help strengthen your core.  Limit 10 participants 4 weeks $65.

Cardio Ball and Strength
Certified group fitness and Pilates instructor, Wendy will bring you 30 minutes of giggle producing, fun loving, sweat inducing cardio on the big exercise balls.  She will follow the cardio with a great strengthening session and stretch.  Join in this drop in class to boost your fitness this fall.  This class will run from September 16 through October 21.  Each class is $12 done with pre-paid punch cards.  Reservation list in studio to reserve your spot.

Fuschia- Advanced Pole Junkies
This is the next step beyond the Pink class.  This is for those who can't get enough of pole gymnastics and have completed at least one Pink class.  Our focus is on pole endurance as we put together combinations of spins, inversions and climbs.  Come join us for some amazing aerial skills! This class is $100 for 4 weeks.  Limit 6 participants.  For the Maple session this will be held in the Chilliwack studio so we can make use of the rotating poles.

Workshops
Dress-Up September 19th.  Let your inner goddess come to play in her "tickle trunk" attire.   Anything goes from sports tops and shorts, lingerie, fishnets, boots!  The focus of this class is putting together known Goddess choreography for a playful experience in "costume."  This workshop is $20 and limited to 12 participants.

The Whole Enchilada October 3.  Come and learn how to link your choreography together.  You will learn to combine the frisk, chair and pole work into a flowing work of grace and beauty.  We will give you new transition moves and allow you lots of time to practice.  Please feel free to bring boots and shoes!  This workshop is $20 and limited to 10 people.
